6 Leave a comment on paragraph 6 0 Stamping American Memory is a digital monograph. Each section may be read independently or in order. Sections are connected with links throughout the site. With CommentPress installed, readers are invited comment on the text by clicking on a paragraph and then on the comment bubble that appears in the right corner of the paragraph. All comments appear in the right column and can be hidden, if a reader wishes to hide them. Since images are important pieces of evidence, I added images as their own paragraphs so that readers may discuss them. Images serving as illustrations are nestled within the text, rather than living in their own separate paragraphs. By designating images on equal standing as text within this platform, I am encouraging discussion of these images as cultural texts, and visual culture worth analyzing. When possible, all digitized sources are linked to their institutional record if readers wish to explore more fully.
