Stamps

¶ 4 Leave a comment on paragraph 4 0 The design files kept in the National Postal Museum provide the official records kept by the USPOD regarding stamp requests, including correspondence, designs, and related press. These files are organized by the Scott International Catalog number. This means that files are organized by stamps that have been selected, not by subject. Rejected petitions are difficult to find, and often documents related to failed petitions were thrown away. Luckily, some failed attempts at stamps were grouped with successful stamps making those trails easier to discover.
